eyebobs is a Minneapolis-based eyewear brand, founded in 2001 by Julie Allinson, that sells bold designer reading glasses, progressive readers, prescription eyewear, blue-light glasses, reader sunglasses and polarized sunglasses. Every frame is designed in-house and produced by manufacturing partners to the brand's specifications. Frames are made from Italian-designed acetate with spring hinges, and lenses are optical grade in quarter-step strengths from +0.00 to +4.00. Patterned acetates are made individually, so no two pairs are alike. The brand says it is aimed at people upgrading from drugstore readers, prescription wearers who want distinctive frames, first-time readers and collectors. Every pair comes with 90-day risk-free returns, and HSA and FSA cards are accepted. eyebobs sells online and through stores at Mall of America, Ridgedale Center and Rosedale Center.
